Tezpur University has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Assistant Professor on a contractual basis in the Department of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology. A total of 2 vacancies are available, with a competitive salary of Rs. 80,000/- per month. The last date to apply is 31st August 2026.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To be eligible for the Assistant Professor positions, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
- Animal Sciences and Biotechnology: M.Sc. in Life Science (with specialization in Animal Science) / Zoology / Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Animal Sciences.
- Microbial Biotechnology and Biochemistry: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology.
Additionally, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree with at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree from a recognized university.
