The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has officially announced the results for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2026 for admission into the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the academic session 2026–2028. The competitive Pre-Entry Test was successfully administered across various examination centers in Assam on 12th July 2026. Thousands of aspiring candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now access their scorecards, merit lists, and category-wise cutoff marks directly from the official portal.
This Pre-Entry Test serves as the primary screening gateway for admission to teacher education institutes including DIETs, CTEs, HTCs, and recognized private teacher training centers affiliated with SCERT across Assam. Candidates who qualify in the merit list will participate in subsequent online counseling rounds and document verification stages to secure their seats.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Admission to the 2-Year D.El.Ed programme is purely determined by the merit rank secured in the SCERT PET 2026, subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility parameters during document verification:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates).
- Language Proficiency: Must possess proficiency in the local medium language (Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, or English) studied as a subject at the HSLC/10+2 stage.
- Age Limit: Applicants should not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years of age as of 1st January 2026, with standard relaxation applicable to reserved categories.
- Selection Procedure: Merit position obtained in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) followed by online choice filling, seat allotment, and mandatory physical document verification at the allotted institution.

- Visit the official SCERT portal or click on the direct result link provided in the important links section.
- Navigate to the homepage notice board and locate the section titled SCERT D.El.Ed PET 2026 Result / Scorecard.
- Click on the result portal link to open the login credentials window.
- Enter your Roll Number/Application ID along with your Date of Birth or Password.
- Click the Submit / View Result button to log in.
- Your detailed scorecard displaying individual subject marks, total score, qualifying status, and state rank will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and print multiple copies of your result and scorecard for future reference during the counseling and admission process.
Important Instructions & Advice
Qualifying in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) does not automatically guarantee admission. Candidates must active participate in the upcoming online counseling schedule released by SCERT Assam.
